Here are some symptoms that indicate that all is not right with the automatic transmission of your Mazda vehicle:
- Delay
If there is a time span of more than a second and a half for the automatic transmission of your car to shift from Park mode to Drive mode, then your automatic transmission needs attention. Engagement and disengagement of the transmission must be very quick and very smooth.
- Jerks
If the gears shift with a jerk or with noise, its time to ask your mechanic to check out the transmission. The gears should shift very smoothly. A well maintained transmission will make minimum vibrations during changing of gears.
- Slipping
Slipping refers to the lack of coordination between the rotations in the engine and the acceleration of the vehicle. When acceleration does not take place despite corresponding pressure on the pedal, this is clear proof that the transmission is slipping and needs attention.
These are but three of the many warning signs that your vehicle may show. Keep an eye out for them and opt for a rebuilt Mazda transmission to solve the problem as quickly as possible.
